Education: Spring of Life International School Hosts Spectacular Science and Art Exhibition

Last Friday, Spring of Life International School hosted its much-anticipated Science and Art Exhibition, where the creativity and innovation of its students truly shone. The event, held on March 21, 2025, was a lively showcase of scientific experiments, artistic creations, and sustainable innovations. Parents, teachers, and guests were left in awe as they witnessed the students transforming everyday materials into remarkable projects.

Class One: Turning Waste into Wonder

The youngest learners in Class One wowed everyone with their upcycled sandals crafted from waste materials, highlighting the importance of recycling. They even built a functional television model out of a cardboard box, complete with a mechanism to demonstrate how channels are changed—a fantastic mix of creativity and basic engineering.

Class Five: Architectural Marvels and Electronics

Students in Class Five displayed their engineering prowess by constructing a miniature three-bedroom apartment entirely from cardboard boxes. The intricate design featured furniture, windows, and even decorative touches, proving that imagination knows no bounds. They also showcased a fully assembled electronic circuit with all its components, explaining how electricity flows through different parts—an impressive demonstration of their grasp of basic electronics.

Class Six: Artistic Craftsmanship and Scientific Solutions

Class Six students exhibited their artistic flair by creating bags, baskets, and other functional items from manila cards, showcasing the charm of handmade crafts.

On the scientific front, they conducted a water filtration experiment, illustrating how impurities can be removed using simple filtration methods—an essential lesson in environmental science.

JHS 1: Explosive Science with a Volcanic Reaction

The Junior High School (JHS 1) students truly captivated everyone with their thrilling volcano experiment, where they brought a chemical eruption to life using just baking soda and vinegar. The audience erupted in cheers as the "lava" poured out, making it one of the standout highlights of the day. Their thorough explanation of the chemical reactions at play demonstrated a solid grasp of scientific concepts.

A Celebration of Innovation and Learning

This exhibition was more than just a showcase of projects; it was a celebration of the students' critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. Mr. Kumi Romeo, the school’s Administrator, commended the students for their dedication and encouraged them to keep exploring the fascinating links between science, art, and sustainability.

Parents and guests left the event feeling inspired, amazed at how these young minds could come up with such creative and eco-friendly solutions. The 2025 Science and Art Exhibition was a tremendous success, reaffirming that at Spring of Life International School, learning truly extends beyond the classroom!

Kudos to all the students and teachers for making this exhibition an unforgettable experience! 🎨🔬🏆
